FAQ
Good questions, answered.
Everything you might want to know before your family's first SeniorCareAtYours visit.
Booking & how it works
How do I arrange a SeniorCareAtYours visit?
Booking is by message — call, text, or WhatsApp us with a bit about your parent, what kind of support would help, and your preferred schedule. We'll ask a few thoughtful questions and match a companion before confirming. No app, no online form — a real conversation with a real person.
We find that a real conversation helps us understand your family's situation properly, so the first visit feels right from the start.
How much notice do I need to arrange a visit?
We recommend reaching out at least 48 hours ahead for a first visit, so we have time to find the right match. For urgent situations, reach out anyway — we'll do our best to help quickly.
Many families start with a single visit to see how it goes, then move to a regular weekly schedule.
Can we set up a recurring schedule?
Yes — most families book SeniorCareAtYours as a recurring visit, whether that's once a week or several times. We'll work with you to build a schedule around your parent's routine and your family's needs, and it's easy to adjust as things change.
Consistency matters — we try to keep the same companion assigned to your family wherever possible.
The visit itself
Is this medical or nursing care?
No. SeniorCareAtYours provides non-medical companion and respite care only — companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep help, errands, and non-medical mobility assistance. Our companions do not administer medication, provide nursing care, or perform any clinical procedures. If your family needs medical or nursing support, we're happy to point you toward a licensed home health provider.
We're upfront about this because it matters — we want families to have the right kind of support, even if that means recommending someone else for certain needs.
Are your companions vetted?
Yes. Every SeniorCareAtYours companion is interviewed, reference-checked, and background-checked before joining our team. We take the trust of caring for your loved one seriously — ID is shown at every visit.
Many of our companions have prior caregiving experience, but this is a companionship and support role, not a clinical one.
Will my parent see the same companion each time?
Wherever possible, yes. We try to keep the same companion matched to your family for every visit, because familiarity and trust make a real difference — especially for someone who may be more comfortable with a consistent, friendly face.
If a regular companion is ever unavailable, we'll always confirm a suitable replacement with you first.
