FAQ
Good questions, answered.
Everything you might want to know before your first HandymanAtYours visit.
Booking & how it works
How do I book a HandymanAtYours visit?
Booking is by message — call, text, or WhatsApp us with your preferred date, time, job list, and location. Photos help us prepare the right tools and parts. We'll confirm your handyman and all the details. No app, no online form, no waiting on hold.
We keep it simple on purpose. A real conversation means we can match you with the right handyman and make sure the visit works perfectly.
How much notice do I need to book?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead to guarantee your preferred time and handyman. For same-day or next-day visits we'll always try — reach out and we'll let you know what's available.
Popular slots on weekends and evenings fill quickly. If you have a firm date in mind, earlier is better.
Can I book for a whole list of jobs at once?
Absolutely — this is one of our most popular bookings. Send us your full list, we'll estimate the time needed, and book a punch-list visit long enough to get through as much of it as possible in one trip.
Bundling jobs into one visit is the most efficient way to finally clear a growing to-do list.
The visit itself
What should I have ready before my handyman arrives?
Not much. Clear access to the areas you need worked on, and if you have specific fixtures, hardware, or paint you want used, have them on hand. Your handyman brings a full toolkit and common consumables, and will flag anything extra needed before starting.
We'll confirm any setup details when you book so the visit runs smoothly from the moment your handyman arrives.
Are your handymen insured?
Yes. Every HandymanAtYours professional is background-checked, experienced, and insured for at-home work. We verify experience and references before anyone joins the team. ID is shown on arrival.
You're inviting a professional into your home — we take that trust seriously.
Do you handle jobs that need a licensed electrician or plumber?
Our handymen handle minor plumbing and electrical fixes — fixture swaps, outlet and switch replacements, dripping taps — within what's safe and appropriate without a trade licence. For larger plumbing, electrical, or structural work, we'll say so upfront and can point you to a licensed trade.
We're upfront about scope — we'd rather tell you a job needs a specialist than do it halfway.
